Here, Guru Sahib describes inner transformation.
Before meeting the True Guru:
– The mind wanders endlessly.

ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ, (ਇਸ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ) ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ (ਆਪਣੇ) ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਗਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਾ) ਚਾਨਣ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਸਦਾ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।1। ਰਹਾਉ। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਮੇਰੇ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਦਿਨ ਆ ਗਏ ਕਿ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਸਿਫ਼ਤਿ-ਸਾਲਾਹ ਕਰ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਸੁਖ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਮਿਲ ਪਿਆ ਹੈ।1। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ) ਗੁਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਖ਼ਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਆ ਵੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਭਰਮ ਡਰ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ (ਉਹ ਉੱਤਮ) ਚੀਜ਼ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਤਕ ਗਿਆਨ-ਇੰਦ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ।2। (ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਦਰਸਨ ਦੀ ਬਰਕਤਿ ਨਾਲ) ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚਿੰਤਾਂ ਤੇ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ, (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਗ਼ਮ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਲੋਭ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੋਹ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। (ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ) ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ (ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰੋਂ) ਹਉਮੈ ਆਦਿਕ ਰੋਗ ਮਿਟ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਮੈਂ ਜਮ-ਰਾਜ ਤੋਂ ਭੀ ਕੋਈ ਡਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।3। ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਟਹਲ-ਸੇਵਾ, ਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਰਜ਼ਾ ਹੀ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਲੱਗਦੀ ਹੈ। ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਆਖ—(ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਕੇ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।4। 4।
हुकमनामा व्याख्या :
इस पवित्र हुकमनामे में गुरु साहिब हमें यह समझाते हैं कि जब इंसान को पूर्ण सतगुरु मिल जाता है, तब उसके जीवन में वास्तविक सुख, शांति और आत्मिक प्रकाश आ जाता है। गुरु की कृपा से मन परमात्मा की भक्ति और नाम में जुड़ जाता है, और जीवन के सारे दुख, डर और भ्रम समाप्त होने लगते हैं।
“हे भाई! मुझे पूरा गुरु मिल गया है…”
गुरु साहिब कहते हैं कि जब से मुझे पूर्ण गुरु का सहारा मिला है, तब से मेरा मन परमात्मा की महिमा गाने में लग गया है। पहले मन भटकता था, लेकिन अब अंदर आत्मिक रोशनी फैल गई है। मन को सच्चा आनंद और शांति प्राप्त हो गई है। यह आनंद बाहरी चीज़ों से नहीं, बल्कि गुरु की कृपा और नाम-सिमरन से मिलता है।
“जब से गुरु के दर्शन प्राप्त हुए हैं…”
गुरु के दर्शन केवल शारीरिक रूप से देखने का नाम नहीं, बल्कि गुरु की शिक्षा को जीवन में अपनाना है। जब इंसान गुरु की वाणी के अनुसार चलने लगता है, तब उसके जीवन के “अच्छे दिन” शुरू हो जाते हैं। परमात्मा की सिफ़त-सलाह करते हुए मन हर समय सुख में रहता है और इंसान को हर जगह वही एक सर्वव्यापक करतार दिखाई देने लगता है।
“गुणों का खजाना परमात्मा मेरे हृदय में आ बसा है…”
जब परमात्मा का नाम और उसके गुण हृदय में बस जाते हैं, तब दुख, भ्रम और भय समाप्त हो जाते हैं। मनुष्य का प्रेम संसार की नश्वर वस्तुओं से हटकर परमात्मा के नाम में जुड़ जाता है। गुरु साहिब कहते हैं कि तब ऐसी आध्यात्मिक अवस्था प्राप्त होती है जिसे इंद्रियाँ समझ नहीं सकतीं — यह केवल अनुभव की जा सकती है।
“मैं सभी चिंताओं और सोचों से बच गया हूँ…”
गुरु की कृपा से मन की चिंताएँ समाप्त हो जाती हैं। लोभ, मोह, अहंकार और दुख जैसे रोग मिटने लगते हैं। जब इंसान नाम से जुड़ता है, तब उसे मृत्यु या यमराज का भय भी नहीं रहता, क्योंकि उसका मन परमात्मा की शरण में स्थिर हो जाता है।
अंतिम संदेश
गुरु साहिब अंत में कहते हैं कि अब उन्हें केवल गुरु की सेवा और गुरु की रज़ा ही प्रिय लगती है। सच्चा सुख इसी में है कि इंसान अपने अहंकार को छोड़कर गुरु की इच्छा में जीवन बिताए। गुरु ही हमें विकारों, डर और जन्म-मरण के बंधनों से बचाते हैं।

– सच्ची शांति गुरु की शरण और नाम-सिमरन में है।
– गुरु की कृपा से मन के विकार दूर होते हैं।
